Story
New monsters have appeared across Thanalan and The Black Shroud, engorged upon terrible aether. They're oversized and rabidly aggressive. Orisic has attempted to pacify those he has found, and failed. The monsters must be put to rest, but seem to be of a great variety. It's too much for one man to handle. Hopefully hunting the monsters will help triangulate an origin when all is said and done.
Conclusion
All of the beasts have been hunted, slain, processed and studied. No odd devices were found upon them. But their strange growth patterns and odd infusions of aether all seemed similar.In the end, it was discerned there is no way these very different monsters all became engorged upon aether by the same means without some kind of interference. Someone messed with these monsters and set them loose.Why?Who?

Orisic has hunted a coeurl and an axebeak, placing both to rest, and honoring their bodies by processing them to sustain his camp.
Priestess U'tikka Chah blessed the axebeak, providing its last rites.
Qin Manet agreed to help with funding.
A blacksmith was recruited for a reward.
A few hunters in Ul'dah have learned of the hunt.
Perhaps the priestess will be able to help bless future bodies.
A hammerbeak was hunted with help from Tonsa Seay.
A giant ant was hunted with help from U'tikka Chah and Ayumi Akane
The search for a levin-aspected coeurl failed. It was lost heading south, toward Little Ala Mhigo.
Danya Blackburn suggested using insulation to protection from the levin, and a grounding method to divert the levin.
"Old Man" Mar provided some valuable insight in regards to hunting black coeurl. The upshot? Hunt at night when they first awake and leave their den for hunting.
A warehouse in Northern Thanalan was raided. It may have contained rubber. No one living at The Rest had ANYTHING to do with this.
Viv Brandt gathered information about a giant scorpion which moves with stunning speed, and burrows to ambush prey. She is gathering a party to hunt it.
M'kana Tora recruited Neri Fyth and Ash Crozius to hunt and slay a great croc. Overflowing with fire aether, it was as a living grenade, channeling all that power into its mighty tail! It has been gathered for inspection and processing.
Viv managed to defeat the scorpion!
After a considerable amount of prep work, Danya and Zana were able to defeat The Black Coeurl. Mar's advice paid off considerably, as did Danya's armored protection she crafted with considerable extra legwork. Orisic was indeed a fine bait.
